The Clarion Community Learning Workshop

About the Learning Workshop

What We Do...

The Clarion Community Learning Workshop opened in the Fall of 2013, seeded by a grant from Clarion University. Located at 849 Main Street in Clarion, PA, the Workshop’s mission is to provide FREE critical educational opportunities to members of the Clarion community and surrounding communities. This includes homework help, tutoring in specific subject areas, GED preparation and programming and workshops in areas of the arts, language arts, writing, computer literacy, foreign language, workplace writing and much more. The majority of our programs emphasize English language arts and the development of skills in writing, reading, speaking and listening.

Whom We Serve...

At the Community Learning Workshop, we serve learners of ALL ages in a friendly, welcoming, environment.

Who We Are...

The Community Learning Workshop is staffed by Clarion University students from across disciplines ranging from Speech Language Pathology to Education to Biology. The Workshop was founded and is co-directed by Dr. Rich Lane and Dr. Leah Chambers, who are both professors of English at Clarion University.
